This picture was taken in 2005 along the Turure River before the mountain road had been widened. It contains one of the researchers for scale. The researcher is up to his knees in the pool, less than 2 feet deep. The pool is above his waist (more than 3 feet) closer to the rocks along the far bank. The stream flows from the left of the photograph to the right.

The main part of the stream (along the bottom of the photo) comes from an undeveloped area. One can observe the difference in sediment levels.
