Format
Resource Group This is part of a collection accompanying a press release concerning ecological changes in Lake Christina, western Minnesota. Due to the effects of agricultural runoff and the construction of a dam in the mid 1930s, the water in Lake Christina is now deeper and murky with abundant algae. These changes have resulted in the loss of habitat for migratory waterfowl including the canvasback ducks.
